Secession - A Thought Experiment

Greg Abbot calls Ron DeSantis (Join me in this thought experiment, please) and they call the other red state governors. How many of them agree to form a new federal govt. - the Conservative States of America - and stop paying taxes to D.C. What are the implications?

The conservative states would keep the Constitution and current federal laws. President Trump is sworn in as the President. The current Representatives and Senators form a new Conservative Congress. What would they do about a federal judiciary? Where would the congress meet? Where would Trump seat his new executive branch, and who would come over from the current team?

I'm guessing the first law the new congress would pass would be an election security law requiring voter id, outlawing mass vote-by-mail, outlawing manipulable voting machines that can't be connected to the internet, and stringent supervision.

What would be the impact on people and businesses? Would there be mass migration from one country to the other?

What would be the fiscal impact? Bullion in Fort Knox, KY stays with the Conservatives. I'm guessing Socialist States of America would keep the debt, and the Conservatives would create a new currency, but they'd have to build a new mint. Where and how fast before they could transition to a new currency? What would the fiscal impact be?

How do Socialist States deal with both federal debt and individual state debt? Does China start "investing" heavily to keep their friends (and issuers of the US Bond holdings) solvent? How do people & business in Socialist States respond?

What are the military issues? Which leaders migrate to new country? I'm guessing army and air force assets stay in the state they're located in. What happens to the Pacific Fleet carriers and subs? Does new Conservative Chairman of Joint Chiefs invite ship captains to sail home to a red state port?
